Wen Jingfan

There was a moment of silence at the front desk, and then it quickly responded: "It is the boss's younger brother, Wen Jingfan"

Wen Jingfan quickly hung up the phone, feeling somewhat fatigued as he rubbed his brow, and then turned to look over.

The previously furrowed brows have now relaxed, and those obsidian-like dark eyes are fixed intently on the jumping floors. The nose is straight, the thin lips are gently pressed together, and there is not a trace of a smile on the face, nor any excess emotion.

She just took a short break, and upon returning, she immediately took over the night shift. Today marks the second night shift. She yawned sleepily and turned to look at her bloodshot eyes in the mirror.

In the misty mountains, at the Vanyin Temple, on a quiet yet sweltering summer day, she sat in the courtyard, transcribing Buddhist scriptures on a stone table. Then, beneath the sound of cicadas, she heard very faint footsteps.

As Su Anran sensed his gaze upon her, she carefully took a deep breath. When she raised her head, a gentle smile graced her lips, much like before: "Mr. Wen, please proceed upstairs."

As the elevator doors opened, his voice followed suit: "I do not require room service, do not disturb me"

What happened with you, Manager?

That was their first encounter, which remains as clear as if it had just happened yesterday

Back in her office, she flipped through the data sheets for the quarter, just about to close her eyes for a brief rest, when the phone on her desk rang

Oh, the boss's younger brother, Wen Jingfan

Sui Anran's expression changed several times as she forcefully lifted her foot to pull out the heel of her high-heeled shoe. With a calm demeanor, she walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. When she spoke again, there was a subtle tremor in her voice that was hard to detect: "What did you just say?"

Not far from the front desk in the lobby, there stands a man, with a suit jacket draped over his arm, slightly turned to the side, his figure upright.

As Anran turned on the faucet and splashed a handful of water on her face, the icy water immediately brought some clarity to her muddled mind. She took a deep breath, turned around, and leaned against the edge of the sink, gradually drying the droplets of water from her face

The master ascended the steps, and the young man, with his handsome features and outstanding demeanor, spoke with a voice as clear as a stream, each word striking at her heart.

The sound of the elevator operating is particularly clear in the quiet of the night, as Anran stealthily observes him through the somewhat opaque metal door of the elevator.

But just after taking a few steps, she heard a man behind her softly call her name in a deep and melodious voice: "Sui Anran"

Sui Anran paused for a moment, then followed closely out of the elevator. The dim lighting in the corridor cast a subtle luxury over the entire passageway

No, the previous sentence.

"What happened to you, Manager?"

It has been three years since we last met; he probably does not remember me anymore

"Staying up late is a woman's nemesis..." she murmured this phrase, glanced at her watch, and saw that it was already past 12 o'clock, probably indicating that there would be no urgent matters.

Wen Jingfan did not respond, instead, he slightly lowered his head and looked at her

Sui Anran smiled lightly and said in a formal manner: "Mr. Wen, if you have any matters to discuss, feel free to find me at any time. I wish you a peaceful and pleasant evening"

Following the manager, an important client is checking in

He slightly furrowed his brows, speaking a bit quickly, with a distinctly enunciated London accent. His voice was deep, warm, and mellow, exactly as she remembered it.

Just as she was about to step into the elevator, she heard a sound and paused. The heel of her high-heeled shoe got caught in the gap between the elevator and the floor.

She picked up her phone and said while walking, "Which guest is it?"

Sui Anran glanced at the time and instructed in a low voice, "Hmm, I will come over now"

Her thoughts instantly returned to many years ago

Wen Jingfan walked quickly and steadily until he reached the door of the room, where he finally stopped. Holding the room card in his hand, he casually turned to glance at her, and the meaning in his gaze seemed to ask: "Do you have anything else to discuss?"

She had just hung up the phone and had no time to catch her breath when the elevator dinged, arriving at the hotel lobby

As Anran approached quickly, the rhythmic and rapid sound of her high heels clicking against the ground echoed. However, it was only when she got a bit closer that she realized he was holding a phone and was on a call

Wen Jingfan made a sound of acknowledgment, shifted her gaze, and walked towards the elevator ahead of her.

I will not disturb you any longer she bowed slightly and turned to leave
